Spindory

Services

Three binding styles. One standard.

Every rebind uses genuine books purchased from legitimate retailers and modified only physically. The content is never altered or reproduced.

01

Spiral binding

A plastic or metal coil replaces the spine. The book lies completely flat at any page.

Best for: Cookbooks, study workbooks, knitting and crafting patterns, sheet music, instructional manuals, children's busy books.

02

Lay-flat rebind

The original paperback or hardcover is preserved; we replace the internal spine with a hinged lay-flat mechanism.

Best for: Art books, Bibles, reference works, anything where keeping the original cover matters but the book still needs to open 180°.

03

Hardcover conversion

We convert a paperback into a hardback — reinforced boards, fabric or cloth cover, stitched signature.

Best for: Reference editions, keepsake copies, gift editions of paperbacks you want to last decades.

Our 5-step process

From sourcing to shipping, every step is documented. Books that don’t pass QA never leave Florida.

  1. Step 1

    Source

We purchase the book from a legitimate retailer — Amazon, TikTok Shop, or direct from the publisher. Never pirated PDFs, scans, or counterfeits.

  2. Step 2

    Inspect

Every book is physically inspected for damage, completeness, and authenticity before rebinding begins.

  3. Step 3

    Rebind

Our partner Printing Planet in Florida handles the physical rebinding — spiral, lay-flat, or hardcover conversion as specified.

  4. Step 4

    QA

Every rebound copy is checked for cover alignment, coil tension, trim cleanliness, and page-turn behavior. Defects are pulled; the book is not shipped.

  5. Step 5

    Ship

Shipped with a packing slip disclosing that Spindory performed only the rebinding. The original authorship and publication info are unchanged.

About

The brand behind the bindings

Spindory was founded by Sergiy Savchenko to bring bookbinding-quality finishes to books that needed to actually get used. We started with cookbooks and study manuals — books people kept wrestling to keep open — and the demand for proper lay-flat versions quickly outgrew a side project.

Today Spindory partners with Printing Planet in Florida for the physical rebinding, and sells every rebound copy with clear disclosure of what we did to it. We do not reprint content. We do not scan books. We modify and resell genuine, lawfully purchased copies — full stop.
