Spindory

Rebinding for readers who use their books

Lay-flat books for readers who actually use them.

We rebind genuine, legally purchased coloring books, cookbooks, and study manuals — spiral, lay-flat, or hardcover — so they stay open at the page you need.

Three ways we rebind.

Each book gets the binding that suits how it’ll actually be used.

Spiral binding

A plastic or metal coil that lets your cookbook, textbook, or music book open and stay flat at any page. Best when you need the book to behave like a workshop tool.

Lay-flat rebind

The original cover stays — we replace the spine with a hinged mechanism so the book opens 180° without cracking. Feels like the book you bought, behaves like it was meant to.

Hardcover conversion

Convert a paperback into a hardback. Reinforced boards, hand-trimmed cloth, stitched signature. For reference works that will be opened a thousand times.

Rebinding is legal resale

We’re not reprinting books — we’re reselling the ones we bought.

Under the U.S. First Sale Doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 109), the owner of a lawfully purchased book may resell that physical copy — even after modifying the physical object — provided the resale is truthfully disclosed. Spindory only changes the binding; the original author and publisher retain all rights in the content.
